In November 2018, Sonnen opened their Australian manufacturing plant in Elizabeth, South Australia, bringing local customer and service support teams.
Their modular design is expandable, meaning it grows as your energy requirements increase.
sonnenBatteries use safe and durable battery cell technology – Â Lithium Iron Phosphate – with a long lasting 10,000 cycle or ten-year warranty.

Morning: minimal energy production, high energy needs.
The solar panels start to produce energy at sunrise, though not enough to cover the morning energy needs. The sonnenBatterie will bridge the gap with the stored energy from the previous day.
Midday: highest energy production, low energy needs.
In the daytime, the energy generated from the solar panels is at its peak; however, with nobody home, the energy consumption is very low. During this time, the excess captured energy is stored in the sonnenBatterie.
Evening: low energy production, high energy needs.
The highest daily energy consumption is in the evening when the solar panels produce little to no energy. The sonnenBatterie will cover the power needed with the energy produced during the daytime.
