  1. A fan draws in warm air from outside that crosses the evaporator
  2. The evaporator converts the liquid refrigerant into a gas
  3. The compressor pressurises the refrigerant gas into a hot gas
  4. This hot gas inside the condenser coil then heats the water inside the tank
  5. The refrigerant condenses back to a liquid after heating the water and continues back to the evaporator for the process to start over
  6. This cycle continues until the required temperature is reached.
  7. As water is used within the home, the cycle will restarts when the temperature in the tank drops below 45 °C
